Holy Week in Greece:
A Culinary Pilgrimage

April 4-13, 2026 in Galatas, Greece

With Kara Seymour, Jeremey Rock Smith & Katerina Sakelliou

This culinary pilgrimage during Holy Week in Greece invites you to step into the sacred rhythm of this most meaningful time of year where faith, food, and community converge.

Led by Kara Seymour (aka Pasta & Prayers), Chef Jeremy Rock Smith, and Chef Katerina Sakelliou, this experience is created for those who are seeking to deepen their faith, learn more about the history and traditions of Christianity, and those who find joy through cooking or simply enjoy having new experiences…no culinary experience required.

Together in community, we’ll cross the barriers that often keep us isolated in our faith and step into a place where our faith can be shared more freely and openly. Through excursions, history, cooking, prayer, learning, and authentic conversation, we’ll explore faith as a lived experience.

Held at Odyssey Organic Farm & Eco Glamping in Galatas, Greece, in the heart of the Peloponnese on the Aegean Sea, the setting itself inspires awe and reflection. Surrounded by olive trees, terraced gardens, and beachfront views across the water to Poros, Odyssey Organic Farm offers the perfect environment to slow down and reconnect; a place where the wonder of God’s creation is felt through the land, the food we prepare, and the fellowship we share around the table.

During this Holy Week pilgrimage, we’ll take a deep dive into the roots of Christianity in Greece, exploring one of the earliest churches closest to Christ’s time, where the Apostle Paul preached and planted the seeds of faith. Through this exploration, we’ll trace the origins of the church, study its early traditions, and reflect on how they continue to shape the modern spiritual journey.

This retreat blends hands-on cooking, spiritual reflection, and immersion in the living traditions of Greek Easter.

Each day unfolds through reflection, learning, and participation in the sacred rituals and symbolic foods of Orthodox Holy Week. Through handmade pasta, traditional Greek dishes, and community meals, participants experience faith not just as belief, but as a way of living, tasting, and being.

Throughout the week, participants will work together to prepare the traditional Easter meal, coming together in shared purpose and celebration as the culmination of the week’s journey.
